Q: Pranams, Amma. I’m always curious to know what the life of a Guru is like when they are living among us, being one of us?

AMMA: It’s like traveling on a hilly road where everybody enjoys the scenic beauty around. They are engrossed in admiring nature, taking pictures, and singing joyfully. But the driver is more focused on the road he is driving. It might seem like he is missing the opportunity to enjoy the beauty around, but the driver is also enjoying his driving skills and the opportunity to drive on such challenging roads. He is happy that he is driving safely so that his passengers focus more on the beauty around and less on the dangerous curves they are passing through.

A Guru is that driver in your life. He ensures that you focus more on things that help you celebrate your journey while he takes care of all the hurdles you are passing through. 

A Guru celebrates his life through his disciples. If you want to make your Guru happy, then be happy.”
