I wanted to share a beautiful dream I had. In the dream, I was sitting in a place where Ganapati’s puja was being performed. A Ganapati idol was placed on a beautiful stage. To my pleasant surprise, Amma was sitting next to me, watching the puja. Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind: how come the priest is not recognizing Amma?
After the puja, Amma got up, and as she was leaving, I saw tears rolling down the face of the Ganesha idol. Ganesha stretched out his hands towards Amma like a small child crying for his mother’s attention. Seeing this, Amma came back and walked to the stage, and Ganesha started jumping with joy like a child.
I woke up with tears of joy. The feeling of having such a beautiful darshan in my dream made me so excited that I called Amma in the morning to share it. As I was narrating the dream, my brother-in-law was frying vadas (a South Indian snack that is round in shape and crispy). To our surprise, the vada turned out in the shape of Ganesha’s face, just as I had seen in the dream. I feel blessed to witness such a playful divine leela.
