Amma prepared us all in a very unique, divinely way which only Maa can do. Otherwise 18 of us who joined Amma on that holy day wouldn’t have imagined sitting in Manikarnika Ghat whole night where you are surrounded by burning pyres. Amma had shifted us to a new dimension where all of us felt that we were sitting in a Yajna Shala and Chanting the Rudram. We actually realised the meaning of Amma saying “why fear when I’m here”.
I would love to share one incident –
On the morning of Shivaratri day as we stepped in to Manikarnika Cremation ground, we could see Amma walking around like Mahakali. Amma was in so much of Joy, excited like a child , showing and explaining everything to us like a proud owner showing his/her home.
There was a person who was sitting at the far end of the ground, he started screaming Ammaaaa… and Amma looked at him and lifted her hand and blessed him. After that in no time he came jumping and running towrds Amma not bothered by the burning pyres which were all around and he was telling to himself in hindi saying “sharir ko jalaneka mera kaam to chalta rahega per pehele Jagat Janani se milna hi ( My duty of burning the body will go on but let me meet Jagat Janani/ mother of the universe first)”
He touched Amma’s feet and said Sakshath Jagath Janani has come to give Darshan🙏
He told us that from his childhood he is in Manikarnika and its been more than 35 years that he is there burning the dead bodies.
He spoke few lines which covered the essence of the entire life. Then he told that Manikarnika is his world, and playing with Bhasma is like holy celebration everyday as at the end everything is shunya.
Amma patted on his shoulders saying Shiv ka seva kar rahe ho ( you are serving Shiva here), for which he replied “no mother, I’m serving you here, Shiv to bas Naam ka aur Maa tum hi ho sab Kaam ka”. ( Shiva is just the name but it is the mother who does everything) 🙏🙏
Then he brought ash from one of the pyres and asked Amma to apply it to all. Amma blessed everyone by applying ash on our forehead and many people surrounded Amma and received blessings

I want to narrate just one incident out of many which we witnessed in the divine presence in Manikarnika🙏
You have seen in the above video where Amma was holding one long wooden stick and making the fire burn properly in the pyre. After that Amma came and sat next to me, I was mesmerised seeing the way Amma was walking around in her own abode. Amma looking at the pyre told me -wish she had Trishul, then it would have been easy for her to flip the fire wood and the body properly. As Amma was saying that Manjumath brother was taking few pics away from us where he couldn’t hear our conversation and he kept the mobile in his pocket. But Amma told him to check the photo saying, “Trishul must have appeared as per Amma’s commond”.
And here is the picture for you all. It is definitely a divine planning which made Manjunath brother click the picture at that moment

When we entered with Amma we couldn’t bear the heat and the smoke which was coming out of fire.
Later what happend is unknown state to all of us. The energy, lightness, sense of nothingness everything we experienced in that one night during Jagaran 🙏 such is the power of Mother’s divine presence🙏🙏🙏
I have seen Amma in Adikailas standing barefoot on snow and i have seen Amma standing right infront of the burning pyre in Manikarnika. Both the time You can see Amma being in her divine state unaffected by the surroundings 🙏🙏🙏
There was one person who came to Amma and touched her feet and couldn’t take his eyes off, he spoke to amma in hindi , he said – “Maa only you have allowed me to touch your feet till date. I saw a bright light when you kept your hand on my head. I know you are vishva Mata. Maa i have committed many sins and that is the reason even this pyre fire didnot accept me when I tried to offer my life twice . Now i realised that I was alive only to have your darshan on this day”.
We couldn’t hear what Amma spoke to him but one thing we heard Amma saying, “your punya is mine and your papa is mine, be here in this moment, Main hun na”
I have celebrated my many Shivaratris by singing Shiva bhanjans and whole night Jagarana but this was the first time I felt I celebrated the real Shivaratri by chanting Rudram in Rudrabhumi and expereincing the Stillness, Nothingness, Lightness and that Energy. – Nagarathna
