Maa Gayatri

Pranams to all.
A week ago as I was sitting in meditation, Amma appeared as Mother Gayatri in a vision. She was dressed in a pristine white saree. There was golden light all around her and she looked at me with eyes full of Love.
Amma revealed that the mala (rosary) I used for my japa (inherited from my great-grandfather) was her gift to me. She said that people leave behind material possessions (property, gold or silver) as gifts for their children. This mala is a special gift that would bring me closer to Her.
Story from the past that connects the dots:
My great-grandfather was a worshipper of Mother Gayatri. When he passed away, it was decided to distribute his personal belongings amongst all the family members. One by one they were invited to choose an item. Some chose gold chains, others a gold ring, silver items etc. When it was my father’s turn, though he could have chosen from many gold or silver items, he simply chose the mala that my great-grandfather had used for his meditation. This incident happened at least 25 years before I was born.
My father kept the mala safely for many years. He gifted it to me on the day of my thread ceremony – to do my Gayatri Mantra Sadhana. The mala has been with me ever since and unequivocally remains my most prized possession.
To me this is clear evidence that Amma’s grace and love extends beyond space and time. She set in motion certain events even before our birth so that in this life we may receive her love and grace. There is no bigger blessing one could ask for.
Koti koti pranaams Amma. Lots of Love.
