Replica Of Srikand Kailash

10-9-20

Pranams all,

Amma, in her Divine talk  told us not to be ignorant about the Divine proximity one is blessed with.  This made me recollect an incident.  I fail to understand whether it’s our ignorance or your ways of teaching us through the act of simple blessings.

I would love to share that incident here.

Everybody must be aware of Srikhand Kailas which is situated in Himachal Pradesh. This is one of Lord Shiva’s abodes and every year in the month of July, it is open for pilgrims.

Every year a group of devotees who I know  visit Shrikhand Kailash.   It is known that trekking to Srikhand Kailash is the toughest one, as one has to trek 19000 feet high, where Lord Shiva is giving the darshan in the form of Lingam. This Lingam is in a different shape than the regular Shiva Lingam.

So this year, due to the Covid situation, trekking to Srikhand was not permitted; it was also because of high snowfall this year.

Devotees decided to go to a village near Shimla from where Srikhand Lingam was visible. On July 19th, these devotees  went to this place.

That day I was in Bangalore and Amma was in her native home.  I was truly missing visiting Shrikhand Kailash .   I wanted to call Amma but I knew she was busy making Dhuni at that time, so I did not call her.  After some time, I received a photo from Amma in my whatsApp.  While making dhuni, she made the replica of Srikhand Mahadev Lingam with the mud and shared the picture with me.  I was overjoyed seeing that;   I felt amma made this Lingam for me to have the Darshan.  The next afternoon I called Amma to check if the devotees had called her to speak about their visit to Srikhand Mahadev.  Amma as usual made a casual statement saying that  “as long as He (Shiva Lingam) is sitting here, how can he appear there?” Then around 3pm Amma told me that I am removing the Srikhand Lingam I have made, so that He would appear there and saying so Amma sent me the picture where she removed the Lingam which she had made the previous day. Within 15 minutes or so devotees  shared pictures of Srikhand Mahadev Lingam, saying it was covered with fog and that just then it appeared to all to have darshan.

I was the sole witness to this play of Amma. Today, I was reminiscing on her message the day before, that divinity has its own way of teaching.  I surrender all my ignorance at your feet Amma.

Please guide us to understand you, Mother. Your simplicity always makes us forget our blessings in your proximity.  My pranams Amma.
